
Derek Turner is the Vice President of Development at Longline, where he leads the firm's land acquisition, entitlement, development, and builder disposition activities across its real estate portfolio.
Prior to joining Longline, Derek founded The Middle Housing Company, an Atlanta-based homebuilding and development firm focused on attainable housing through townhomes, cottage communities, and infill residential projects. Previously, Derek served as a Senior Consultant with Strategic Insights, advising homebuilders, developers, and private equity firms throughout the Southeast. During his tenure, he provided market feasibility analysis for residential development opportunities and supported numerous mergers and acquisitions through valuation, underwriting, and strategic analysis of residential communities and land portfolios.
Earlier in his career, Derek held land acquisition and development roles with FrontDoor Communities and Stanley Martin Homes in Atlanta, where he evaluated and executed residential development opportunities across the region.
With more than 15 years of experience in residential development, acquisitions, homebuilding, and market analysis, Derek brings a disciplined and entrepreneurial approach to creating value across Longline's real estate investments.
